The Military Museum in Belgrade is part of the Belgrade Fortress, located in a building built in 1924 for the purposes of the Military-Geographic Institute. The permanent exhibition encompasses all historical periods and the events from the national history and culture. The exhibited items range from various types of weapons, military attire, flags, decorations, photographs and artworks, to authentic personal belongings of historical figures. Cannons from the 18^th and 19^th centuries, heavy artillery from the First and Second World Wars, anti-aircraft and naval artillery, partisan boats, etc. are especially attractive to visitors and are exhibited in the area around the Museum.
