The apartment in which Serbian Nobel Prize Laureate Ivo Andrić lived with his wife, costume designer Milica Babić, is now a memorial museum. The original interior and ambience of the apartment, designed in a style similar to that of other memorial institutions in the world, have been preserved in memory of this literary luminary.

The interior of one section of the apartment (the study and the drawing room) has remained unchanged since when Andrić lived there, whereas the two former bedrooms are now exhibition space. In addition to personal effects, prizes, honorary doctorate degrees and numerous awards, its visitors can see what the Nobel Prize and Medal look like. The exhibition displays many photographs, original manuscripts of Andrić’s works, letters, different editions in Serbian and other languages, and his personal belongings.
