A bronze sculpture was erected in 1979 in front of the National Library of Serbia and Saint Sava Church, in memory of the great leader of the Frist Serbian Uprising Đorđe Petrović - Karađorđe. The Monument, 320cm high,  was set up on the hill near the Park with his name, so it dominates the entire Vračar plateau. It is the work of Sreten Stojanović.
