The Old Palace
The Old Palace, which was the Palace of the Serbian Obrenović Dynasty, was built according to Alexander Bugarski’s designs at the end of the 19th century, in the academicism style As the Obrenović Dynasty came to an end, the Old Palace became the residence of the Karađorđević Dynasty. The appearance of the palace was changed quite a bit after the damage from both world wars along with the reconstruction it had undergone. With the interior of the rooms bringing back memories of royal balls and receptions from the 19th century, today this building is the City of Belgrade Assembly and the Mayor’s Office.
