Surčin
The municipality of Surčin is located in the southwest part of Belgrade.
The International Airport Nikola Tesla, the largest and busiest airport in Serbia, is located in Surčin. In terms of transport and economy, this is the most important infrastructure in Belgrade.
The municipality has its natural beauties - the Sava flows through the area, there is a public protected natural property called Bojčinska forest (Bojčinska šuma), as well as a picnic area with many outdoor activities - tracking, horseriding, summer theatre, ethnic restaurants etc.
Beside the Bojčinska forest, there are a few more forests, such as, Cerova greda, Gibavac, Crni Lug, Zidine, Dobanovački zabran, and the hunting grounds Zabran and Crni Luk, as well as the fishing spots called Bečmenska bara and Živača. Next to the nautical village Boljevci, there is an ethno house called Stajko’s Ethno House (Stajkova etno kuća), which demonstrates more than two centuries of Serbian and Slovakian coexistence on these grounds.
Bojčinska forest, Jakovo with its spa centers, the athletic center in Surčin, the Tarzan beach in Progar, and the Nautical village in Boljevci are places for leisure, recreation and entertainment, especially during the summer season.
