Rakovica
The municipality of Rakovica is 10 kilometers away from the city center in the southern part of Belgrade.
Most of Rakovica is covered by forests and parks, such as the Miljakovac forest and Košutnjak, a forest and a city getaway, respectively. The river of Topčider flows through Rakovica.
Rakovica Monastery is located 11 kilometers from the city center.
Beside the monastery, there is a church dedicated to the Saint Archangels Mihailo and Gavrilo. The late Serbian patriarch Pavle was buried here in 2009. The monastery is also famous for its vineyards and the production of honey.
