The municipality of Mladenovac is located to the southeast of Belgrade, at the edge of the Šumadija region. It lies on the gentile slopes of the Kosmaj Mt., at the height of 113m above sea level.

Some of the most important tourist attractions in Mladenovac are Kosmaj Mt.,  the hunting area in Varovnice( lovište u Varovnicama), a lake called Markovačko jezero, Selters Spa (Banja Selters), Memorial Complex Crkvine, Memorial Complex Varovnice, Pavlovac Monastery, and the Jablanica Archaeological Site.

Kosmaj Mt. is one of the natural oases, just 12 km from the central part of Mladenovac.

In terms of recreational tourism on Kosmaj,  two of the most attractive  footpaths lead, one to the Monument dedicated to the WW2 fighters, and the other to the WW1 Ossuary.

A perfect destination for hunting is the Varovnice Hunting Ground, on the slopes of Kosmaj, only 46 km south of Belgrade. The hunting surface is around 27,000 hectares, and the game species are deer, rabbits, pheasants, wild boar and field partridges.

There is sport fishing on the two lakes near Mladenovac - Rabrovačko jezero, and Markovačko jezero.  . The most common species in the lakes are carps, catfish, pikes, woodpeckers and perches. There are many  local restaurants and  good accommodation facilities in the vicinity.

Spa tourism is in its expansion, especially at the Selters Spa, well known for its thermal mineral water and discovered in 1898. In the vicinity is the Koračica Spa.

Traces of Neolithic settlements (3800-3200 BC) have been discovered at the Jablanica archaeological site in the village of Meduluzje.

In terms of hospitality, Mladenovac offers hotels and various types of private accommodation, and in addition, a large number of establishments offering various types of food and beverages. These include restaurants, coffee shops, taverns etc, offering local, national and international cuisine.

Notable events organized in Mladenovac are: Snow Games, Fruit and Vineyard Day (St. Trifun's Day), International Children's Folklore Festival, Exhibition "Air-Cooled Passion", "Streetball" – a traditional event for basketball lovers, Field and Wheat Days, Water games - School manifestation that has a competitive, educational and entertaining character, a competition in the preparation of fish stew on the Markov Lake, Art Colony, a traditional art event, Šumadija metaphors, Theater Festival.
